This May, WGNRR Africa mobilised grassroots partner organisations and strategic allies in the region to take action on May 28 – the International Day of Action for Women’s Health. Under this mobilisation, WGNRR Africa was joined by Ipas Africa Alliance, Zamara Foundation, Women’s Spaces Africa, SHEACTs, Kuza Livelihood Improvement Project, and Hivos Southern Hub to design a first-ever Regional Call for Action and have mobilized our respective constituencies to take specific actions in our respective countries and communities. In Tanzania, WGNRR Africa collaborated with its Dar-es-salaam based partners, i.e. Binti Salha Foundation and Binti Makini Foundation, in partnership with the UN Chapter of the University of Dar-es-salaam, to organize a reflection day on the “Role of young people in addressing the stigma surrounding youth A2CSE, A2C and A2SA/PAC” which brought together over 150 students from the University of Dar es Salaam, Tumaini University and National Institute of Transportation.
