February 9th – 10th, 2022 in Dar es Salaam Tanzania, we conducted the kick-off meeting for the Youth Collective Action Now project which aims at addressing the stigma that young people face in accessing SRHR services and information. The meeting convened 11 representatives of 8 grassroots organizations advancing youth SRHR in Tanzania, Kenya and Uganda to build a common understanding of the rationale and objective of this sub-regional initiative aimed at strengthening the movement for an increased ability of young people to address stigma obstructing their access to comprehensive Sexuality education (A2CSE), access to contraceptives (A2C) and access to safe abortion (A2SA). The meeting resulted in a collective commitment to work in a collaborative way at country and cross-country levels to address stigma surrounding youth access to the 3 SRHR issues above.
