PROPOSAL SRHR – 2
More than one-third of the population in the Eastern and Southern Africa (ESA) region is aged 10 to 24 years. The 182 million population of 10-24 year olds in 2016 is expected to rise to 341 million by 2050. In demographic terms, the region is experiencing a youth bulge, which has major implications for education, health and economic development overall.
